The Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) is a data center server computer product line composed of computing hardware, virtualization support, switching fabric, and management software.

What You Can Monitor

This Opspack will provide a selection of Host Templates, ranging from the top level Fabric Host Template to more lower level monitoring via Host Templates for Chassis and Servers, as well as a Custom Query Host Template, allowing you to monitor all aspects of your Cisco Unified Computing System.

Host Templates

The following Host Templates are currently provided by this BETA Opspack. Click the name of each Host Template to be taken to the relevant information page, including a full Service Check description and usage instructions.

Setup For Monitoring

  • This Opspack requires either UCS Manager or CIMC Supervisor. The API server URL will be the IP address of either the UCS Manager or the CIMC Supervisor starting with https://
  • Each Host Template requires the name of the object being monitored. This can be retrieved from the Distinguised Name (DN) of the object. For example, to monitor a chassis with DN 'sys/chassis-1', enter 'chassis-1' as the Chassis Name.
  • Opsview will require a read-only user on your UCS system.
