Hi,

We have discovered a Juniper MX device, but how can we now see status of all the hundreds of interfaces and whether its UP for DOWN in the views? What im looking for is when i click on the Juniper MX device, it then allow me to see info and status on all the interfaces its got configured on it.

Also if a interface on the MX, goes down or UP we want to get notifed by it. Any tips appreciated

Thanks

Best to add the switch as a host, enable SNMP by entering the community string and then click "Submit and edit host interfaces".

For service checks, you'll need to enter the Juniper MX MIB's into Opsview and then simply do an "SNMP Polling" service check against the sample host of your Juniper switch, which will bring back all the OID's, etc.

Thanks, added it as a host, enabled SNMP by entering the community string and then click "Submit and edit host interfaces" and get following message:

Cannot query host: ifAlias: The message size exceeded the buffer maxMsgSize of 1472

Please advise

Once you've clicked through "submit and edit host interfaces", can you see the option "SNMP Message Size:"?

If so, can you set that to 64Kio and retry?
