TechJam Preview: Supercharging your Monitoring with Hashtags

Hashtags picture.png

Hashtags have taken over social media. Originating from Twitter and now a prevalent method of labeling/tagging all types of terms on the Internet, a Hashtag in Opsview Monitor (formerly known as keywords) works very similar to Hashtags within well-known social media platforms. This will be the subject of our TechJam Webinar ‘Supercharging your Monitoring with Hashtags’ coming up tomorrow (Thursday, November 19th) at 11am ET/4pm GMT, which will be presented by James Carney (our Content Marketing Manager) and Will Annunciata, our Senior Customer Success Engineer.

When it comes to IT monitoring with Opsview, Hashtags are incredibly helpful thanks to the fact that they significantly reduce the management overhead. Grouping all your service checks can not only save time in searching, but also save you much needed CPU and space within your environment. Hashtags are a way of customizing your own service checks to better organize your monitoring, increasing efficiency and lessening time spent on trying to locate things within your infrastructure.  By joining our TechJam webinar tomorrow, you will be able to learn the ins and outs of Hashtags and the new features you can extend through your entire monitoring implementation in Opsview Monitor.

Join the webinar to see:

  • What hashtags are and how to organize them efficiently
  • How to use hashtags throughout your entire monitoring system, including views and dashboards
  • The best and most common areas to use hashtags and what to expect

Be sure to register for the webinar and follow along by using our own #OpsviewTechJam hashtag on Twitter!
