How Do I run hosticon_admin on the latest Virtual appliance?
Hi,   I have downloaded and installed the latest Opsview Core virtual appliance and have added a number of hosts. I want to add some new icons for hosts but cannot seem to do the following:- 1) cannot logon as nagios as I cannot find the password. 2) cannot run hosticon_admin (i get hosticon_admin: command not found).   I hope someone can help. Thanks Pete

Hi Pete,

You should "su - nagios" and then follow the guide here: http://docs.opsview.com/doku.php?id=opsview-core:hosticons&s[]=hosticon&s[]=admin

Best,

Sam

I have tried to su - nagios but i get asked for a Password for nagios.

I have tried:-

(blank)

nagios

Nagios

Opsview

no matter what I try I get:- su: Authentication failure.

Without that I assume I cannot move on to use the hosticon_admin tool.
