Email notification issue

Hello All,

I am having the following problem with email alerts.

There is a service check that is using a custom script, it monitors a service on two separate windows boxes using check_nrpe.

It works well, however there are no notification email sent when the service goes critical.

Would it have to be handled by the event handler that was created for this?

If yes, how do I do that? Shall I just add a mail send to the event handler when it's run?

Thank you and best regards,

You'll need to set up a 'notification profile'. If you click on your 'access profile' (top right drop down, and then 'submit and edit notification profiles'), thats where you can set them up.

Hi,

Hi,

I do have a profile, I use a 24/7 profile and receive emails for all the other service and host checks but not for my custom one.

It works well, goes critical when it has to and triggers the event handler, that works well too, but there are no messages sent for this one service check, all others are OK.

Did you add your new custom check into its own service group? If so, it's likely you'll need to go back into your 24/7 profile and tick that service group, i.e. 'Custom checks'.
