Graph tab not visible in Opsview Pro

I installed opsview Atom and later we bought and installed Opsview Pro. In Atom I have a graph tab and I have the option open Graph view on the default checks for the Opsview server (http, load, disk, etc) but on OpsviewPro I don't get the Graph view on any check with performance data. We're running Opsview Pro for more then a week now but no graphs are shown. If I check for example the check_load on the Opsview Pro server it reports data like:

load1=0.060;5.000;9.000;0; load5=0.050;5.000;9.000;0; load15=0.080;5.000;9.000;0;

Is there any reason for OpsviewPro not showing the graphs?

Have you done any reloads

Have you done any reloads recently?

The graph icon is shown after a reload after the first check result is returned.  This is because graph data needs to be stored on disk for a reload to see there is data available to then display the graph icon.

Even after a full night

Even after a full night without any reloads no graph icon is show. Also, when doing a reload on Opsview Atom the graph icon still shows directly after the reload.

Can you check the import

Can you check the import_perfdatarrd daemon is running:

ps -ef | grep import_perfdatarrd

Restart it as the nagios user:

opsview_watchdog import_perfdatarrd restart
opsview_watchdog summary

Repeatedly running the summary command should show when the daemon has been restarted.  Check the log file to see if there are any errors:

grep import_perfdatarrd /var/log/opsview/opsviewd.log

Also check in /usr/local/nagios/var/rrd/<hostname>/<servicecheck>/<metric>/ to make sure the file 'value.rrd' file has been created.

When you have confirmed the 'value.rrd' files are there, perform a reload.

After seeing your support

After seeing your support ticket, can you also confirm that the opsview_watchdog and opsview_perlpackages have been updated to the latest versions?

See "Timeseries graphing errors" https://knowledge.opsview.com/articles/opsview-monitor-520/21-known-issu...

Thanks for your prompt

Thanks for your prompt replies! I did run your checks, here's the result:

The import process is running: nagios   25419     1  0 sep27 ?        00:00:20 import_perfdatarrd

To be sure I did a yum update and it did update opsview-perl from 5.2.0.162581310 to 5.2.0.162701003-1.ct7

the rdd files are created:
-rwxrwx---. 1 nagios opsview 24184 Sep 20 16:02 /usr/local/nagios/var/rrd/opsview/CPU%20statistics/user/value.rrd

But I do see persmission errors in the logs:

[2016/09/28 13:15:16] [import_perfdatarrd] [Opsview::Utils::PerfdatarrdImporter::catch {...} :69] [ERROR] Processing file=1475061315.027483: Timeseries ERROR: Failed to send HTTP request: Connection refused at /opt/opsview/perl/lib/perl5/Opsview/Timeseries/Client.pm line 163.

Any idea where these are comming from?

Ferry

rrd files aren't updated since upgrading to 5.2

I just noticed that the rrd files aren't updated since the 20th of september. This is when I upgraded to 5.2

Can you provide the output

Can you provide the output from

opsview_watchdog summary

It seems like you may need to reinstall 'opsview-timeseries' to get the watchdog configuration files in place, but I would like to check if anything else is missing.

Reinstalling all 3 timeseries

Reinstalling all 3 timeseries packages and restarting import_perfdatarrd resolved the issue

Graphs are showing but not on monitored interfaces

Thanks for the great support yesterday. The graphs are now visible on most checks. But on monitored interfaces I'm still not getting graphs. These interface are monitord now for a couple of days so I would expect to see some graph data but as you can see in the screendump below there are's no graph data.

Regards,

Ferry
