nagios memory leak in opsview-base 4.3.2.224-1precise1

Hi,

We notice that the memory usage on our opsview server is constantly increasing. The largest process on it is Nagios (/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios).

We discovered this because at some stage nagios fails to fork() in order to start /usr/local/nagios/bin/rotate_ndo_log (the fork error doesn't include errno, which is a shame).

What can I do about this?

Thanks.

Hi Amos,

Can you have your Opsview support contacts raise a ticket using their details via http://support.opsview.com so that it is worked via the correct channels?

Kind regards,

Sam

Amos,

I assume you are using Opsview Core? Can you try upgrading to the latest version, as opsview-base 4.4.0.259 includes extra patches for Nagios to fix memory leaks.
