Announcing Opsview Monitor 5.3

Opsview Monitor 5.3 Announcement

We are happy to announce the latest version of Opsview Monitor, packed full of new capabilities and available free to all our customers. Opsview Monitor 5.3 delivers improved performance, usability and support for popular technologies including the following:

New Opspacks

Highly popular MongoDB, HAProxy and Varnish Cache have been added to the Opsview Opspack Marketplace, and all three are now included as standard capabilities in Opsview Monitor 5.3.

InfluxDB

For storage and performance data, we now fully integrate with InfluxDB, the open-source time series database developed by InfluxData. Written in Go, it is optimized for fast, high-availability storage and retrieval of time series data. Using InfluxDB with Opsview Monitor means you can now retain all of your graphing data points without losing resolution over time.

Runtime Database Partitioning

A key enhancement in Opsview Monitor 5.3, partitioning the runtime database helps improve both speed and performance. This substantially reduces the time needed for daily database clean-up tasks, allowing IT teams to improve service uptime and boost team efficiency.

Improved Dashboards

Throughout Opsview Monitor 5.3, we have made a wide range of usability improvements to dashboard dashlets highlighting not only Opsview’s commitment to functionality, but also the visualization and representation of data for greater user experience.

A complete list of UI and performance enhancements can be found in our Release Notes.

Customers should upgrade at their earliest convenience using their package manager or alternatively, please contact the Customer Success team who will be happy to assist you.

Ticks!!!!!!!!!!!

Please please please can you get rid of all the ticks from everything. The colour green on dashboards is more than enough to indicate that a hashtag is healthy. The tick only used to be used for acknowledging an issue. Now it seems Opsview displays a needless tick on green/healthy hashtags in dashboards.
