How to implement Performance Data in CustomScript

Hi to all

I want implement a new monitoring for SAP HANA.

I've created a bash script in wich OPSVIEW server "call" Backend System to get HANA Used Memory.

The script work fine but now I want implement a performance data to make a graph of Memory utilization in a day/week/etc.

I've read on the documentation that OPSVIEW read a performance data if the script output is " | mem=xxxx "

Have a look at the developer

Have a look at the developer guidelines on performance data here:

  https://www.monitoring-plugins.org/doc/guidelines.html#AEN201

We follow this guide when writing our plugins.

Hi

Hi

I've read the doc ... but if in my script the outpur is %SYSTEM% = Memory OK |mem=$MEM_USED the opsview read the mem value automatically for make a graph ?

Yes, graphs will

Yes, graphs will automatically be generated if the performance data is in the right format.

For the icons to be shown n the UI, the check must have run at least once to return perf data and then a reload performed.  This is because the performance data must be returned and stored so a reload can then see it is there and then include the icon in the UI.
