OpenSim Grid Opspack

OpenSimulator is an open source, multi-platform, multi-user 3D application server. It can be used to create a virtual environment (or world) that can be accessed through a variety of clients on multiple protocols and the OpenSim Opspack monitors all of its most important aspects. OpenSimulator also has an optional facility (the Hypergrid), allowing users to visit other OpenSim installations across the web from their 'home' OpenSimulator installation.

What You Can Monitor

Opsview Monitor’s OpenSim Grid Opspack gives you the ability to monitor multiple statuses on the server, this includes: * Monitoring the grid inventory and messaging status of your OpenSim server * Monitoring the status of the Grid server * Monitoring the status of user services

Service Checks

Service Check Description
Grid Asset Services Checks that Grid Asset Services are responding to requests
Grid Inventory Services Checks that Grid Inventory Services are responding to requests
Grid Messaging Server Checks that the Grid Messaging Server is responding to requests
Grid Server Checks that the Grid Server is responding to requests
Grid User Services Checks that Grid User Services are responding to requests

Setup and Configuration

To configure and utilize this Opspack, add the 'Application - OpenSim Grid' Opspack to your Opsview Monitoring System.

Step 1: Add the Host Template

Add the Application - OpenSim Grid Host Template to your Opsview Monitor host.

Step 2: Apply changes and the system will now be monitored
