OpenSim Opspack

OpenSimulator is an open source, multi-platform, multi-user 3D application server. It can be used to create a virtual environment (or world) that can be accessed through a variety of clients on multiple protocols and the OpenSim Opspack monitors all of its most important aspects. OpenSimulator also has an optional facility (the Hypergrid) allowing users to visit other OpenSim installations across the web from their 'home' OpenSimulator installation.

What You Can Monitor

Opsview Monitor’s OpenSim Opspack gives you the ability to monitor multiple statuses on the server, this includes: * Monitoring CPU and memory connections * Monitoring the status of the OpenSimulator server * Monitoring simulator instances

Service Checks

Service Check Description
Mono CPU utilization Checks CPU utilisation of OpenSim running under Mono
Mono resident memory utilization Checks resident memory utilisation of OpenSim running under Mono
Server status Checks whether the OpenSimulator server is running (under Mono)
Simulator 1 Checks that the first simulator instance is responding to requests
Simulator 2 Checks that the second simulator instance is responding to requests

Setup and Configuration

To configure and utilize this Opspack, add the 'Application - OpenSim' Opspack to your Opsview Monitoring system.

Step 1: Add the Host Template

Add the Application - OpenSim Host Template to your Opsview Monitor host.

Step 2: Apply changes and the system will now be monitored
