SNMP checks for devices supporting MIB-II

SNMP Agent Status of SNMP agent
Discards SNMP interface discards per minute
Errors SNMP interface erros per minute
Interface SNMP interface throughput
Interface Poller SNMP interface polling
Interface Status Raises an alerts if status for any interface changes (up / down)
Uptime Restart Uptime of SNMP agent usually equivalent to device uptime

Setup and Configuration

To configure and utilize this Opspack, you simply need to add the SNMP MIB II Opspack to your Opsview Monitor system.

Step 1: Add the host template

Step 2: Go to the 'SNMP' tab where you can configure SNMP settings for a Host.

SNMP credentials will first need to be configured and tested within this section.

Add Credentials

Note: These sections are visible when 'Enable SNMP:' is checked. When it is not checked, the three drawers are hidden.

Step 3: Next, you will need to configure the interface. The interface drawer is used to list all the available interfaces on this Host; with the list being gathered via SNMP therefore correct credentials are a pre-requisite. To view the interfaces of a Host click on the 'Query Host' button which will populate the table with the available interfaces. For more details on configuring SNMP please check opsview knowledge centre.

Step 4: Reload and the system will be monitored
