What You Can Monitor

Opsview Monitor contains the service checks needed to monitor crucial aspects of your Juniper infrastructure. Opsview is able to use the latest SNMP information to drill down to the specific items you need to monitor your critical equipment.

Service Checks

Service Check Description
Active connections Active sessions on Netscreen device.
CPU utilization Five-minute load average on Netscreen device.
Memory utilization Checks memory on a Netscreen device.

Prerequisites

Ensure your Opsview Monitor version is at least 6.6.7. Check Opsview Release Notes for the latest version of Opsview Monitor.

Setup and Configuration

To configure and utilize this Opspack, you simply need to add the 'Network - Juniper' Opspack to your Opsview Monitor system.

Step 1: Add the Host Template

Add the Network - Juniper Host Template to your Opsview Monitor host. If the resource you're monitoring has no hostname or public IP, then open the Advanced settings pane and change Host Check Command to Always assumed to be UP.

Step 2: Enable SNMP

This opspack requires credentials to be setup in the SNMP tab.

Step 3: Apply changes and the system will now be monitored
